
María de Jesús Medina-Arellano is a PhD in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence. She is a research professor at the Legal Research Institute in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is a member of the National Research System in Mexico, SNI- level 1, in Mexico’s CONACyT. Currently, she is the Deputy of the College of Bioethics (civil association that gathers scientist and physicians working in the area of bioethics from practical and academic perspectives). She is also member of the Council Board of the National Commission of Bioethics in Mexico.
