ARMA, ACU and Vitae have had some initial conversations on developing a collaborative theme of research capacity building by bringing together research management and researcher development to achieve integrated competencies to meet global challenges. This approach requires policy and organisational vision and leadership, as well institutional strengthening collaborative strategies to develop the key competencies in practice.
This workshop would follow on from one held at the Vitae conference in 2017 and would focus on what skills and development is required across researchers and research managers to support the global, interdisciplinary, large scale research teams that are addressing global challenges.
