Climate
In June, the climate is mild, with average temperatures of 13C. However, the weather can be variable, so layers are advisable, and a rain jacket can be useful.
Currency
Sterling is used in Edinburgh – units are pounds and pence. All major credit cards are widely accepted. Banknotes issued from both Scottish and UK banks are accepted.

Parking
There are a number of car parks in close walking distance to the EICC. Suggestions include:
- National Car Parks (NCP) in central Edinburgh
- Sheraton Hotel Car Park located 150 meters from the EICC, with limited accessible parking spaces
- Semple Street Car Park located 300 meters from the EICC
Speaker Information
Please note that we are unable to provide travel, accommodation or subsistence expenses to those chairing or presenting workshops, panel sessions, pecha kucha sessions or posters. Those accepted will, however, be able to claim the Early Bird rate, provided they respond by the date indicated in the acceptance letter.

Taxes

Travel
Edinburgh is well-connected via air, rail and road. There is a good bus and tram service around the city. You can find more information on getting to Edinburgh here.
Travel & Health Insurance
The Congress does not provide insurance to delegates. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance policies to cover medical and travel expenses.
