We’re absolutely delighted to be hosting the seventh INORMS Congress, in the wonderful city of Edinburgh. We hope you’ll join us, and our Congress mascot, Hamish the Highland Cow, at what promises to be an exciting and educational experience!
The INORMS Congress, which will absorb the ARMA Annual Conference for 2018, is the biennial meeting of the International Network of Research Management Societies, which brings together our UK members with associations from across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia and the Americas. Like a regular ARMA Conference, we’ll be featuring a range of plenary sessions, seminars and workshops to enable our members to network with colleagues and to develop professional knowledge and skills. Unlike the ARMA Conference, however, we’ll be hosting delegates from around the world and focusing on international research management topics under our theme, Promoting Global Research Management, Supporting Global Research Challenges.
The city of Edinburgh will play host to Congress. We’re planning to introduce all Conference delegates to the best that the Scottish capital has to offer, hosting activities around the city and making the most of the history, arts, culture and natural heritage that will be on our doorstep. And Hamish will be on hand to give his unique take on events!
We’re open for enquiries now, and will be launching a call for proposals for sessions in the early Autumn. Make sure to bookmark the INORMS 2018 website today.
So join us for a braw time in Auld Reekie! As JK Rowling has said of Edinburgh, ‘It is one of the most hauntingly beautiful places in the world, the history is fascinating, the men are handsome and the whisky is delicious. But don’t eat the macaroni pies.’
