Stijn Delauré is policy offer at the European Commission, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) unit. He obtained a PhD in Biotechnology (Ghent University, 2003), when working at Bayer CropScience, after which he joined the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) as researcher. Between 2006 and 2011, he was research advisor for international funding at KU Leuven’s grants office; in 2011 he became head of its international research unit. Since 2010, he chaired the European Research Project Managers policy group of the League of European Research Universities (LERU; group of 23 research-intensive universities), advocating international research-related opinions at the European Commission and Parliament. In 2017, he joined the MSCA unit, where he is responsible for the individual researcher fellowships, both European and global.
