Professor Sanjeev K Sobhee is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academia) of the University of Mauritius and he is responsible for all academic matters related to staff and students of the University. All matters related to regulations, policies, applications for doctoral degrees and academic research fall under his purview.
Furthermore, Prof Sobhee is Professor of Applied Economics and Development Studies. His research areas include, amongst others, applied macroeconomics, economic development issues and environmental economics. Besides publishing in internationally refereed journals, he has consulted for different international institutions; namely, The World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), amongst others.
