Prof Gideon de Wet is currently holding the position as Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation at the University of Zululand. He has more than 35 years of experience in Higher Education both nationally and internationally. He has been involved actively in Research Management positions for many years holding such positions as Director of Schools, Deputy Dean and Dean of Faculties.
Gideon has been involved in several internationally funded research projects over the years. Some of these have been funded by the European Union. The focus of these projects has always been on the promotion of research management and research impact.
