Nick spent over 11 years working for the Avon Rubber company where he worked in a materials development role designing rubber compounds for use in a variety of challenging environments. After this he moved to a major UK research funder, EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council). Working as a Senior Portfolio Manager Nick commissioned fundamental research in diverse areas such as Energy, Mathematics and Healthcare. During his time at EPSRC Nick went on secondment to BEIS (Dept. For Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) where he worked as a User Researcher on an Agile project to deliver an online research funding platform. Nick now works as a Research Development Manager at the University of Bath, where he supports academics to develop their research proposals. Nicks has an MBA, and is a PRINCE2 Agile practitioner.
