Margarida Trindade heads the ITQB NOVA Science Funding Office since March 2016 and monitors the implementation of a research unit. She has over 8 years of experience in advising researchers, faculty and institutions on the assembling of funding proposals. Before, she worked as grant coordinator at the ISCTE-IUL and she was the Pre-award Funding Coordinator at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (2008-2013) in Portugal. She is also a trainer on grant application and career development; an expert evaluator (H2020, FP7), an assessor (EARMA Certification on Research Management) a former advisor for the Horizon 2020 Marie S. Curie Actions (2014-2015), and a coordinator of a national platform of research management professionals (PIC). Currently she also leads the participation of the ITQB NOVA in the TRANSPEER project, an Erasmus+ strategic partnership for wider researcher employability coordinated by KAU in Sweden.Trindade obtained her PhD on Developmental Biology at the University College London 2000.
