Mahlet is Programme Manager at the Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for data science and AI, where she manages research collaborations with industry partners. Mahlet is also a co-lead of ARMA UK’s Research Ethics, Governance, and Best Practice SIG (Special Interest Group). Previously, she was Research Co-ordination Manager for the Medical Research Council (MRC) Head Office. Her academic background is in the arts and humanities, and she is particularly interested in research ethics questions in these areas, and in international development.
