Joanne Bentley

Director of Faculty Research Management Services, Yale

Joanne is the Director of Faculty Research Management Services – a Research Administration shared service at Yale. Prior to her appointment as Director, she co-led the project to create and implement this unit. This organization directly interacts with faculty/principal investigators for both Pre and Post Award operations ensuring the highest level of service and compliance with policies and regulations. The organization partners with Yale’s Research Administration office and the Provost’s Office to provide cohesive integration of support to PI’s and their departments.
Preceding her current roles, Joanne was the Lead Administrator in the Chemistry Department at Yale.
Concurrent with her various roles, she has served on many university committees and Business Process Redesign projects with particular emphasis and interest in sponsored research administration and department operations.
Joanne holds a BS in Business Administration from Merrimack College and MBA from University of New Haven with a concentration in Management and Organization.
