Dr Nicola Meenan is a Research Strategy & Policy Officer at the University of York where she has responsibility for their research information system, PURE and advises on a broad portfolio of topics in research evaluation including the use of citation data, the development of appropriate research indicators and the visualisation of research data and analyses. With Elizabeth Gadd she is the co-Champion of the ARMA Metrics Special Interest Group (SIG). She is a member of the UK SciVal and PURE user groups and sits on the RCUK Interoperability Steering Group set up to develop data sharing between institutional systems and Researchfish. .
Nicola worked as a consultant for Thomson Reuters (Evidence) between 2010 and 2014 producing custom bibliometric reports and databases for UK and international government bodies and charities. Before this she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Oxford and the University of York; her research background is in structural biology.
