Chiara Singh-Fisher, School Office Manager in the Faculty of Engineering, Bristol University, volunteered at ‘Mother Teresa’s Home for the Sick and Dying’ in Kolkata, India. This was a rewarding experience, expanding her perspective on leadership and inspiring a fascination with learning and personal development. After a BSc in Biology, she supported students as a research administrator in Cardiff University’s School of Engineering. Moving onto the School of Medicine as an Executive Research Officer, she assisted researchers applying for funding. She is studying towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Management and Leadership via the Association of University Administrators and Nottingham Trent University.
