Andy leads the University of Birmingham’s Business Engagement function across the College of Social Sciences (including Birmingham Business School), the College of Arts and Law, and the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. Andy and the ‘BE’ team are responsible for developing relationships with external partners for collaborative and contract research, consultancy, executive education, degree apprenticeships, and enhanced and engaged in-curriculum activities. Andy is also the University’s Account Manager for its strategic partnerships with KPMG, Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC and Business in the Community.
Working with partners from major multinationals to SMEs and the public and third sectors, Andy has experience of what makes academic/business relationships work.
