In the Great Global Challenge MasterChef, aspiring cooks from research offices and project teams across the globe are looking for key ingredients which make successful challenge-led research projects. Lessons are emerging from projects funded under GCRF, Newton and other ODA-related schemes. Some recipes have succeeded and some need new ingredients. This workshop will incorporate lessons learned from an NIHR-funded project case study and help delegates identify the necessary ingredients that will ensure tasty delights for future proposals and project delivery. Delegates will take part in challenges around:
- Project Governance jigsaw – Put the pieces of the project governance structure together to ensure all layers of the cake are supported
- Communications Utensils – Who can identify the most suitable tools to communicate with partners and stakeholders?
- Proposal development meeting agenda recipe – What ingredients are needed for the next recipe and what chefs should be around the table to cook it?
The presenters will bring both the Proposal Development and Research Management perspectives. What ingredients have made the dish tasty? What ingredients have sent the dish back to the chef? Bring your experiences and join us in the kitchen! Apron or pinny optional.
