The Impact Special Interest Group (SIG) represents colleagues within the research management community with a remit for, or interest in, impact. The SIG convenes annually at the main ARMA conference, and this year welcomes colleagues from ARMA’s international sister organisations. This session provides the opportunity for the impact community to connect, discuss topical issues in impact management and to share learning about delivering the impact agenda. For the 2018 conference, the SIG particularly welcomes the opportunity to build connections with our international colleagues.
Using the same successful ‘discussion stations’ approach as in previous years, this session will cover a broad range of impact-related topics and enable attendees to discuss issues of key interest to them. Topics will be determined through pre-conference consultation with the community and will reflect key needs of the delegation. These are likely to include impact assessment, REF, impact and funding, skills development and organisational challenges.
The aim of this interactive, networking session is to share learning on good, bad and emerging practice, enable delegates to strengthen impact in their home institutions, and build stronger international communities of practice.
