INORMS 2018 will feature internationally-renowned plenary speakers, alongside a wide variety of workshops and seminars, opportunities to develop networking and other professional skills, and a vibrant social programme.

Our programme is currently being developed, and a high-level view will be published within the next few weeks

Based on our theme of Promoting Global Research Management, Supporting Global Research Challenges, we will have no less than 7 concurrent strands running throughout the 3 days of the Congress:

  • Developing research proposals
  • Managing research projects
  • Open data and open access
  • Research integrity and ethics
  • Research impact and public engagement
  • Researcher development
  • Research policy and strategy

Delegates will be able to choose a single strand or ‘mix and match’ from a wide range of workshops and presentations.

Details of our inspirational and thought-leading plenary speakers will start to be released in the next few weeks.

If you would like to participate in INORMS 2018 by delivering a workshop or producing a poster, we would love to hear from you! The Call is now open and we look forward to receiving your abstract.

Edinburgh welcomes you!

The Scots are very proud of their capital city so we are making time during the Congress programme to allow you to explore. Our Edinburgh welcomes you! afternoon will allow us to show you some of the historic sights of the city that are literally on the doorstep of the Conference Centre. We’re currently working on the design of this afternoon to ensure that it’s fun and educational, while  also giving delegates additional opportunity to network in an informal manner out in the open! More details soon!

INORMS Congress Gala Dinner, Awards Ceremony and Highland Ceilidh

We very much hope that you’ll be able to join us for what will be one of the high points of INORMS 2018 – our INORMS Congress Gala Dinner, Awards Ceremony and Highland Ceilidh.

With catering from the award-winning Prue Leith (perhaps best known to UK residents as the new judge in The Great British Bake-off), we are planning an outstanding evening of fine dining and celebration, topped off with some traditional Scottish Entertainment.

During your three course meal, we will celebrate those who have provided outstanding service and innovative ideas to our profession, awards for teams and individuals, not just established professionals but rising stars too. Short pre-announcement films will describe what each of the shortlisted nominees have achieved, providing outstanding examples of best practice and innovative thinking. In our 8 award categories, we will celebrate collaboration, leading-edge thinking and outstanding customer service.

And after the awards, the celebration continues with our highland ceilidh. Featuring a live band, delegates will experience the infectious fun of a range of highland reels, strathspeys and jigs. No dancing experience and ability required!

Do join us for what will be a memorable evening of good food, celebration and great entertainment!
