We are delighted to announce that registration for INORMS 2018 is now open.
We are building on our successful previous annual Conferences and this year, instead of the usual ARMA Conference, we will be offering INORMS 2018, the Biennial Congress of the International Network of Research Management Societies. And it’s all going to be happening at the award-winning Edinburgh International Conference Centre!
We are looking forward to welcoming 1,000 delegates from ARMA’s 16 sister organisations that together comprise INORMS, and we hope you’ll be one of them!
Our theme for INORMS 2018 is Promoting Global Research Management, Supporting Global Research Challenges, with no less than 7 sub-themes that closely map onto the various roles that comprise research leadership, management and administration. And INORMS is not just for Directors or Heads of Office – we will be offering a range of workshops at all career levels.
And if ever there was a year for an international congress, 2018 is it! We are well into a new age of May’s Brexit and Trumps’ USA, accompanied by an ever stronger research heartbeat from some of the world’s fastest growing new economies. The world we thought we knew is changing, and international collaboration and finding solutions to global challenges are becoming ever more important. At INORMS 2018, we will debate the issues, find solutions and create networks.
Over the course of the next few weeks, we will announce our keynote speakers but we would really like you to be involved too, either presenting or taking part in a parallel session or creating a poster. The UK leads the way in many aspects of research management and best practice and there’s a real opportunity for ARMA members to showcase their knowledge and expertise. Be sure to keep an eye out for the imminent Call for Abstracts and share your ideas with us!
But it’s not all work – we are currently developing an exciting social programme that will allow all our guests to experience the atmosphere, culture and history of Edinburgh during the Congress itself, culminating in our Gala Dinner, International Awards Ceremony and Highland Ceilidh.
